The talk from Luis Von Ahn, about Human Computation is worth to look at. Kind of food for the though from different directions. And even that for me the game that he describes on it was not fun, his approach and concepts are quite interesting and perhaps inspirational.

Carolina,
that’s a GREAT link! I saw, at ACM MM2006, a similar talk from a more sociological / philosophical pov by Marc Davis, and liked it, too. But I think that for computer scientists, this web video talk is _definitely_ worth watching.
At first I had to re-read the post’s last sentence twice, because I was not sure whether you do not imply, you do, or the concepts aren’t that good 🙂
Anyway, I like the common-senseness involved in what von Ahn does. I wish more that kind of stuff would appear. Few suggestions: “Having people playing a game…
– to answer what they think the computer science is.”
– to say what the user/programmer was really doing on a video.”
– to say what she shall do next.”
..
I fear, though, they would adopt a similar strategy as many participants in the Ahn’s games: regardless what appears on the screen the answers are “F**k”& “F***” = point.
